Entry Level Referee Class and Recertification

Spring 2012 Registration

Spring 2012 registration ended on January 14, 2012. We will be accepting late registrations for the next week, however there is a $10 late fee. We only have a few spaces available, so please mail in your registration form and fee, ASAP. If we can't place your child on a team, we will issue a full refund. A copy of the registration form is located on the left side of the web page, please print the form and mail to the PO BOX number on the bottom of the form. Chevy Youth Soccer Fundraiser

Bennett Cheverolet in Kingsland, Ga has given the Camden Soccer Club a fantastic opportunity. Cheverolet is having a drawing to give away either a Chevy Cruze or a Chevy Equinox within the Southeast Region.

All coaches will have tickets to sell, for your chance to win a car. Tickets are $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00. For each person that buys 2 tickets, they will receive a t-shirt, while supplies last. We have a very limited number of t-shirts, so encourage your parents to sell their tickets fast so they can get a t-shirt.

Camden Soccer Club will receive 100% of the profits from the sale of the tickets. Everyone who buys a ticket will receive a $25 Coupon toward a Certified Service and 20% off an oil change or 10% off any repair service at Bennett Chevrolet in Kingsland.

Referee Classes

For anyone interested in becoming a soccer official there is a entry level class scheduled at Glynn Academy in Brunswick, the class times are Thursday, September 8 from 5:30 to 8:30pm and Saturday September 10 from 2:00 to 9:00 pm attendance at both classes is required (a little tardiness maybe allowed). For referees who are level 8 (black badge) a recertification class is scheduled for the afternoon of September 11th also at Glynn Academy.

For my R9 referee’s (blue badges) I have a request in for a class the following week at the same times as the entry level class (Thursday and Saturday) check the GAReferees.com web page for updates. Everyone needs to register on line at GAReferees.com. If you have any question contact Phillip Trull (ptrull@tds.net) or 552-4586.

Soccer Drive for the Children of Haiti

At the end of the spring season, the Camden Soccer Club and Kings Bay Soccer Club asked you to donate any old soccer jerseys for the children in Haiti. Your response was overhelming and together we raised over 200 jerseys. We are now collecting jerseys, soccer cleats, shorts and soccer socks. Please look in your closets again and help with this cause. Your help is greatly appreaciated. Bring your items to the Camden Soccer Center on this Saturday, September 18th. All donations will benefit the children of Haiti.

We still will be collecting items thru Thursday, September 23, 2010. Give your items to your coaches.

Jerseys Arrive in Haiti

Thanks to Jay Jordan for arranging and collecting the jerseys for the children of Haiti. The Tribune-Georgian featured an article and these photos in the Wednesday, June 9th edition. The Haiti Empowerment Project from Ohio State University is working to provide materials, resources and training to organize and support the community schools. As a part of the relief efforts, the staff is working to create a soccer league for the children of the community. The gift of soccer jerseys from the children of Camden are a special gift for the children of Haiti. The 200 soccer jerseys were given to five community schools in the tent cities around Croix-Des-Bouquets, Haiti. The Croix-Des-Bouquets area was devastated by the recent earthquakes.

Jay has done an outstanding job with this service project and we thank him for including the Camden Soccer Club. The children of our community have enjoyed going into their closets to look for jerseys to donate.

New Age Requirements

Starting this year for Fall Season, new age requirement is 3 by 8-1-10. If you know someone with a 3 year old, please spread the word that they can now sign up for soccer. Please download the registration form, early registration is taking place at the fields, May 1st and 8th or mail in the form.
